Big Green Weekend
2010-05-29 10:09:34

The Big Green Weekend is here!

Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th May 2010.

"THIS YEAR WE ARE OFFERING a fusion of street theatre, music, debate, film, art, technology and education which guarantees that those who come will leave with a new idea that will change their world for the better.

Make sure that May 29th, 30th and 31st are firmly marked in your minds, mobiles and anywhere else - you don't want to miss it!

Also this year we will see the launch of Hebden Bridge as a Transition Town on May 29th and 30th where a large area of town will be transformed into a Transition Zone which will be a living example of what needs to be done to make Hebden Bridge a sustainable town.

Recently added to the programme of events are a Flamenco demonstration, an Enabling Theatre Workshop and the documentary “Dirty Oil” which will be showing at Hebden Bridge Picture House on Monday May 31st."

Events planned for HB500 Celebrations
2010-03-02 04:56:29

With spring approaching, things are hotting up for a host of happenings to mark the 500th anniversary of the bridge that made Hebden Bridge.

More events are being added to the programme all the time – and it’s still not too late for individuals and local groups to get involved by suggesting their own bridge-related celebrations.
